by stephanlange on March 26, 2010

we all want one of those AR.Dones that we wrote about previously here and here, but now there is a quad copter that does what you tell it to do and I really really want one.

created by the Robust Robotics Group at MIT it responds to natural language voice commands that are sent to the helo and off it goes.

I allready have a manually controlled quad with camera but this development of yours seems way simpler to operate. Is this just at prototype stage for indoors or is it ready outside use.
another question also will you be marketing these and if so in kit form or already built.

Hi Garth,

this is not something that we do, but rather something that we think is awesome. That’s why we blog it. this particular one was a research project by a group from MIT and if you want to get in contact with them, here is their website – http://groups.csail.mit.edu/rrg/

hope this helps.

Stephan
