Amazing Light Painting – Hi-Res Air Graffiti Wallpaper Download

by eunmac on August 15, 2008

We made this hi-res air-graffiti light image using a technique we worked out (here). The images are pretty stunning, especially when you see them in high res. Here’s one for your desktop in all it’s glory. Completely free for you to use for any non commercial purposes.

Update: We are uploading full versions of these (gradually) to Flickr. Read the comments for the link :)

Download here (1900×1200):

(then right click – set as background)

There are many more of these…

So… write some nice comments and we’ll think about releasing the rest in hi-res :)

If you have bigger resolutions that would be great.

I am running 2560 x 1600 on both of my 30′s.

We should try using imagery like this in animation, like this: http://revver.com/video/843781/pikapika-in-indonesia/

Found by Jono.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lichtfaktor/ have been doing this for years, quite famously too.. Read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_writing

We’re trying to work how to go from still frames to full motion with these images. Looks like a tricky task given that most other people are using stop frame animation.

Hmmm. Any ideas anyone?

eunmac September 16, 2008 at 9:24 pm

OK, I am slowly uploading the highest res versions I have of these here:

Wonderful light paintings! Maybe I should add some more capabilities to Holographium. Love that futuristic effect of deformed Saturn rings. lol
