Dotsub.com

by amnesia on May 29, 2007

I have to admit I was at first a bit underwhelmed with the buzzword Web 2.0 and it’s associated visual manifestations, you know the ones rounded corners, gradients, diagonal stripes, all presented on the decoratively sanitised and highly reflective glass table. But every now and then, someone comes up with a really good idea that utilises the internet community to provide a valuable service to that community. dotsub is a community translation service to translate any video online and I reckon it’s pretty sick. take a look and see for yourself.

Hi

I am the founder and CEO of dotSUB, and thanks for the kind words.

We think there are numerous creative uses of our tool for advertising – and would love to discuss them with you. You might want to look at what a European marketing agency is doing with our tool by creating a web video communications platform for the Indian Steel Company Mittal’s acquisition of the European company Arcelor, to explain corporate philosophy to employees in 15 countries.

As you can see, this is now available in 12 languages. I would love to speak with the appropriate person at Amnesia about how we might work together.
